This paper by CHAS Committee member Bob Collins provides a detailed account of a little known set of large plaster maquettes. The fascinating account touches on barons involved in Magna Carta, the Houses of Parliament fire of 1834, the rebuilt House of Lords, the dubious Canterbury MP and mayor Francis Goldney, and the Westgate Museum.
Note: At the time of preparation of this article these 3 maquettes were on display in the Beaney Museum but the precise whereabouts of individual maquettes may well have changed since the note was prepared.
