Description
A projecting band running horizontally across a wall – may be intended for practical purposes (controlling run of rain water down a wall) or as decoration, or some mix of the two.
Where the emphasis is on keeping rainwater off the wall, it is often called a drip moulding; where the emphasis is on protection of a door or window, it is known as a hoodmould.
